The Association of Translators and Interpreters of Nova Scotia
The Association of Translators and Interpreters of Nova Scotia (ATINS) provides access to certified and competent professionals for people who need language services. ATINS members are professionals who adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and strive to provide quality and excellence. While all ATINS members have passed a rigorous screening process, only certified members have successfully passed the CTTIC examination, a national standard of excellence. A certified translator may be required for documents such as immigration paperwork, background checks or notarized documents.
Support and advocacy for community interpreters
Association of Community Interpreters of Nova Scotia
A registered voluntary membership association for practicing community interpreters who are formally affiliated to interpreting service providing organizations in NS. The Association has its own governing board, by-laws and maintains the directory of member interpreters. The Association is a venue for learning, dialogue, support and advocacy for community interpreters and interpreting in Nova Scotia.
